Who we are

This policy explains how Conso4s Ltd (company number 11083797, Suite 3, Middlesex House, Rutherford Close, Stevenage, SG1 2EF, United Kingdom) uses personal data when you use prodexplainer.com (ProdExplainer). Conso4s is the controller for account, billing, and site data. If you put other people’s information into a project, you are the controller for that content and we are your processor (a Data Processing Addendum is available on request).

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your scripts, uploads, or videos to train our models or a third party’s models. Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

You give us

• Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed), organisation name if you add one.
• Project content: prompts, scripts, storyboards, comments, brand URL if you ask us to pull colours and logo.
• Uploads: screenshots, photos, video clips, logos, fonts you add.
• Support messages and WhatsApp if you contact us that way.

We create or receive in the Service

• Storyboards, renders, captions, voice audio, presenter composites, Creative Studio files.
• Job metadata: duration in seconds, illustrated vs presenter, number of renders used, price shown and charged.
• If you connect a social channel: tokens and the posts you queue (we do not scrape your whole social graph).

Automatically

• Device and log data: IP address, browser, approximate location from IP, timestamps, security events.
• Cookies or similar needed to keep you logged in and to remember the job you were building. Analytics cookies only with consent where the law requires it.

Payments

Cards are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation, last four digits, card brand, and billing country, not the full card number. Stripe’s privacy notice applies to data it holds as an independent controller for payment.

We do not need a card for the free first video.

Why we use it (lawful bases)

• Contract: create and log you in, build and store projects, render video, take pay-per-second payment, deliver downloads, run the three included re-renders.
• Legitimate interests: keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, debug failed renders, understand which features are used (aggregated or with consent where required), improve reliability: never by training models on your content.
• Consent: non-essential cookies; optional emails about the product. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data or your videos.
• We do not train foundation models on your work. AI in the product drafts scripts and generates or composites presenters for your job.
• We do not use your uploads as stock for other customers.
• We do not require a subscription or keep a card on file for the taster.

Who we share with

We share only what is needed to run ProdExplainer. We stay responsible for processors we appoint.

• Stripe: payments.
• Microsoft Azure: neural text-to-speech (script text and chosen voice settings go to Azure to produce narration). Azure’s role is processor for that audio generation.
• Hosting and storage: the cloud region(s) we use to run the app and hold project files (we will list the operator on request and in a sub-processor list we keep current).
• Email/WhatsApp providers: if you message us.
• Social networks: only if you connect them and only to publish what you queue.
• Professional advisers and authorities: where the law requires or to establish legal claims.

If we use an LLM vendor to help draft a script, that vendor is a processor, contractually barred from training on your prompts, and we remain liable to you if they break that bar through their or our failure.

International transfers

Conso4s is in the United Kingdom. Some processors (including Azure and Stripe) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we use the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or a valid successor) and supplementary measures. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant transfer mechanism, with commercial secrets redacted.

How long we keep it

• Account: until you delete it, then we remove or irreversibly anonymise within 30 days, except.
• Projects and media: until you delete them, then 30 days, plus short-lived backups.
• Invoices and payment records: as tax law requires (typically six years in the UK).
• Security logs: a limited period (normally up to 12 months) unless we are investigating an incident.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where it applies) you can ask us to access, correct, erase, or restrict personal data, object to legitimate-interests processing, and receive a portable copy of data you provided. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. These rights have legal limits (for example we keep invoices).

Email [email protected]. We will respond within one month (we may extend once for complex requests, and we will tell you).

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (UK) or, if you are in the EEA, your local supervisory authority. We would rather fix it first.

If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CPRA. You may request access, deletion, and correction as described above.

Children

ProdExplainer is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete the account.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access control, and project isolation. No method is perfect. A personal-data breach caused by us is our responsibility under the Terms of Service, including notice to you without undue delay.

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies run the login and the editor. Analytics or marketing cookies wait for consent where required. You can change cookie choices in the banner or browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies will stop the Service working.

Automated decisions

Price is calculated from duration and whether you chose a presenter, not from a hidden credit score. Script suggestions are assistive; you approve the storyboard. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.

Changes

We will post the new date at the top. Material changes: email or in-product notice at least 30 days ahead where we can. Continued use after that date is acceptance, except where the law requires consent.
